Children’s Therapy Services

Our highly-skilled professionals offer quality services to children and their families from birth through age 17 with an emphasis on children five and under -- including speech/language, occupational, physical, and developmental/early intervention therapy.  Therapy is delivered in either a child’s natural setting or from our state-of-the-art Children’s Therapy Center.  Our multi-disciplinary approach engages families in the therapeutic journey for each child.  Because we offer all of these therapy services in one place, our therapists can collaborate with each other to determine the best treatment for the child.  We also collaborate and communicate with other professionals for a comprehensive approach.

Our therapists work with children at risk for the following diagnoses and many others: developmental delays, ADD & ADHD, autism and pervasive developmental disorders, sensory integration dysfunction, cerebral palsy, central auditory processing disorder, aspiration pneumonia, neurological disorder, genetic syndromes, and learning disorders.

Developmental / Early Intervention
Early intervention is designed to help infants and toddlers work toward developmental goals at the time in their lives when they are most ready to learn and can most benefit from intervention. Qualified professionals work with children from birth to age 5 who are experiencing or are at risk for developmental delays, disorders or disabilities to optimize development and achieve the highest possible level of functioning.

Physical therapy services focus on enhancing or restoring mobility that may have been lost due to trauma, disease, or congenital abnormality. Easter Seals licensed physical therapists use exercise, therapy, assistive devices and special techniques to encourage independence and develop their motor skills.

Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy services focus on developing a child's ability to perform activities of daily life, such as self-care (bathing, dressing and feeding), play, and school readiness by enhancing or restoring function that may have been lost due to trauma, disease, or congenital abnormality. Easter Seals licensed occupational therapists assist children to achieve independence by providing therapy for children with developmental, social-emotional, behavioral, cognitive, communication, and physical needs. Our occupational therapists use, but are not limited to, exercise, adaptive equipment, positioning, sensory integration techniques, and neuro-developmental therapy to encourage independence within their daily life.

Speech / Language Therapy
Speech and language therapy services focus on development of successful communication, feeding, oral motor coordination, and cognitive skills by enhancing or restoring function that may have been lost due to trauma, disease, or congenital abnormality.
